The G-997 grooved swing check valve is rated 300 psi CWP, with epoxy coated body and is Listed by UL and FM Approved. Check valves prevent backflow by automatically closing when fluid reverses direction. This valve is generally installed between the Siamese connections and the riser to prevent backflow. The check valve is recommended for automatic fire sprinkler applications where space is a premium.
